Who We Are

Concept

The Neurological Campus was born with the aim of providing, in the same place, the possibility for patients, family members, caregivers and other users to find a multidisciplinary and specialized approach to their health problems, preferably, but not exclusively, concerning neurological disorders and diseases, such as Parkinson's Disease, other Movement Disorders and Alzheimer's Disease.

The main purpose of CNS is to reunite a quality clinical activity, leading research projects and training health professionals, in the same medical areas in which develops care activity.

CNS is located in the city of Torres Vedras and occupies an area of ​​approximately seventeen thousand square meters, composed of two interconnected buildings where three complementary units coexist: the CNS – Medical Clinic (includes Neurorehabilitation Unit), CNS - Internment Unit and CNS - Senior Residence.

The Medical Clinic provides a service of medical appointments, treatments and rehabilitation, in outpatient regime, and the Internment Unit and Senior Residence are residential structures for users with neurological diseases or over 65 years.

CNS was newly built according to the characteristics and problems of our target population.

The building constructed with a high energy efficiency concern, which obtained the class A rating, is surrounded by a garden area, also designed according to our users’ needs.

Mission

The CNS mission is to improve the quality of life and autonomy of the patients by delivering excellent health care in neurological diseases, movement disorders, neurodegenerative diseases and related medical areas, in an integrated, multidisciplinary perspective with recognized and competent healthcare professionals, in collaboration with family members and caregivers.

The objectives achievement should comply with the following values:

Vision

CNS aims to establish as a unique health place, in Portugal and Europe, providing a set of medical assistance services, health monitoring, monitoring and rehabilitation of people with movement disorders and other degenerative neurological diseases.
